#1 Pennsylvania Boudoir Portrait Photography: How to prepare for your glamour boudoir photoshoot

Tips from a boudoir photographer

It's no surprise if you are nervous for your first boudoir photography experience. This is something so intimate and vulnerable not only with yourself but with somebody that you might not even know. That sounds so extremely intimidating and terrifying even to me. However, there are so many tips that I give before you come to your session with me. If you are still just looking for your perfect boudoir photographer here are some tips from me to you to help you find the best experience that fits your needs!

Choosing the Right Photographer: Research and select a photographer whose style you love and who makes you feel comfortable. Look at their portfolio to ensure they specialize in boudoir photography and can capture the look you desire. There are so many different portrait styles that each photographer has and you don't wanna choose one that you don't connect with period if you like more soft and super light you are not going to exactly want to go with a dark Moody photographer. And vice versa. Now when you book with me you get the best of both worlds because I shoot not only dark and Moody and light/airy, but I have 20 different sets to choose from as well. We go all out here!

Plan Your Wardrobe: Select outfits that make you feel confident and sexy. Consider a variety of options such as lingerie, robes, corsets, or even just a favorite oversized sweater. Choose pieces that complement your body type and personality. If this is something you struggle with I do have a client closet with all different looks and sizes and do you have access to all of it! If you need the help on the day of your shoot, I will help you pick something that you will love!

Accessorize: Sometimes it is super fun to bring a piece from home that means something to you to incorporate into your portraits! Again if you don't have anything special or anything that you want to bring at all, I have a whole shelf of accessories that I'm sure you will find at least one thing that you will love!

Prepare Your Skin and Hair: Ensure your skin is well-moisturized and exfoliated for a smooth complexion. If you plan to wax or shave, do so a day or two before to avoid any irritation. Style your hair in a way that makes you feel beautiful and confident.

Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your shoot to keep your skin looking its best and to help you feel energized.

Get Plenty of Rest: Aim for a good night's sleep before your shoot to help you look and feel refreshed.

Communicate with Your Photographer: Be open with your photographer about your comfort level and any specific preferences or concerns you may have. They are there to help make you feel comfortable and to capture images that make you feel beautiful.

Relax and Have Fun: On the day of the shoot, try to relax and enjoy the experience. Trust in your photographer's expertise and allow yourself to have fun with the process.
